“There are 5 different yet simple ways of removing rust from metal using ordinary items around your house.

Use white vinegar. The vinegar dissolves the rust off of the metal. Soak the metal in white vinegar for a few hours and then scrub the rusty paste off. If not, pour a layer over the top and leave it to set.

Then, wipe it down with a rag soaked in vinegar.

Try a lime and salt. Make sure you coat the rusted area with salt then juice a lime over the top.

Use as much juice as you can get. Leave it to set for 2-3 hours before scrubbing off. Use the lime rind to scrub the mixture off.

This solution is powerful enough to remove the rust without damaging the metal. In the absence of a lime, use lemon!

Make a paste using baking soda. Make a thick paste using baking soda and water. Allow time for it to set and then scrub off.

Try using a potato and dish soap. Cut the potato in half and cover the cut end in dish soap then put the potato on the metal and leave it for a few hours on each side.

Use oxalic acid. Directly apply the acid on the metal but make sure you’re wearing gloves and a mask.” See Less
